Educating and Fostering Family Wellness

Enriching knowledge and providing support for successful, joyful breastfeeding

Kalyssa Gillam

BSN, RN, IBCLC

I am so happy you are here! As I am sure you have already gathered, I am a practicing nurse and lactation consultant in Regina, Saskatchewan. I have a true passion for supporting families in their feeding journey and would be honoured to help you reach your feeding goals, however that may look to you.

I started my nursing journey working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, then went on to work on the Mother Baby Unit and eventually added some community nursing doing mother/baby home visits. I have learned a lot as a nurse and am always eager to further my knowledge and keep up with new information and recommendations.

After navigating some challenges feeding my own littles, I decided I wanted to further my education and become a lactation consultant. So here I am, ready to help others in any way I can.

Outside of work you can find me spending time with my husband and our two littles. Mom life is busy, there is no doubt about that, but when I do find time I also enjoy cooking, crafting, gardening, and simply enjoying the great outdoors. A true granny at heart.  I look forward to meeting you and your family and supporting you on your feeding journey.

Why Enid?

Enid is a name of Middle Welsh origin meaning "Spirit, Soul and Life" When picking out names for my own littles I followed @thenamenest. I came across the name Enid on her page and felt it suited exactly what I wanted my business and offerings to encompass and bring. Tara Sea of @thenamenest describes an Enid as "the mother and nurturer to all living things, wherever she goes it is sunlight she brings..."

My hope is to bring a little sunlight and warmth to your feeding journeys!
